Your Certificate of Registration (Assistant Agent) is issued for 4 years. During this time, you will need to apply for an individual property licence (Class 2) to continue working in the real estate industry.
The Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice is the qualification required to apply to the NSW Office of Fair Trading for a Class 2 Licence. Class 2 Licence holders are known as Licensed Agents and are able to sell and manage properties.
As part of this course, you will have access to 13 units of competency from the CPP41419 training package.
Please note: NSW Office of Fair Trading requires 12 months of industry experience as an Assistant Agent before you can successfully apply to be classified as a Class 2 Licensed Agent.

Before You Enrol
Before accessing the course content and assessment, you will be required to complete a compulsory pre-enrolment assessment within your student portal.
To complete the course, you will also need:
- Your 5 completed Assistant Agent units from CPP41419
- Laptop or desktop computer
- Microsoft Word and Adobe Reader
- Reliable internet access

Course Structure
You have up to 12 months to complete this course. As the course is online and self-paced, you can work through the content and assessments within your own time.
The course provides access to 13 units of competency from the CPP41419 Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice.
Upon Completion
Once you have successfully completed the required units and assessments, you will have completed the CPP41419 Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice qualification.
Following this, you can apply to the NSW Office of Fair Trading for a Class 2 Licence, provided you meet the required eligibility criteria, including 12 months of industry experience as an Assistant Agent.
