The Resident Letting Agent’s Licence allows you to rent out on-site managed units and operate a trust account. Study online at your own pace and gain the training required for this specialised role.
This licence allows you to:
- Rent out units within the complex you manage
- Manage on-site residential letting operations
- Operate a trust account
The licence is restricted to units within the complex you manage, with your principal place of business required to be located on-site. You cannot sell units within the complex. Many students choose the Full Licence course instead for greater flexibility.

Course Structure
You have up to 12 months to complete this course. As a fully online and self-paced program, you can progress through the learning materials and assessments at your own pace within this timeframe.
The course includes 15 units of competency from the CPP41419 training package, with assessment tasks, knowledge questions and required video role plays.
Upon Completion
Once all required assessments have been successfully completed and verified, NREL will issue your Statement of Attainment.
You can then apply directly to the QLD Office of Fair Trading for your Resident Letting Agent Licence. Licence eligibility and approval are determined by the Office of Fair Trading.
