Your Certificate of Registration (Assistant Agent) is issued for 4 years. During this time, you will need to apply for an individual property licence (Class 2) to continue working in the real estate industry.
The Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice is the qualification required to apply to the NSW Office of Fair Trading for a Class 2 Licence. Class 2 Licence holders are known as Licensed Agents and are able to sell and manage properties.
As part of this course, you will have access to 13 units of competency from the CPP41419 training package.
Please note: NSW Office of Fair Trading requires 12 months of industry experience as an Assistant Agent before you can successfully apply to be classified as a Class 2 Licensed Agent.

Additionally, the training enhances your knowledge and understanding of the industry and helps prepare you for the assessment tasks required to complete the accredited part of your course.

Before You Enrol
To complete this course, you will need:
- Your 5 completed Assistant Agent units from CPP41419
- Laptop or desktop computer (Mac or Windows)
- Microsoft Word and Adobe Reader
- Reliable internet access (Google Chrome recommended)
- Video recording device (phone, webcam, etc.)
Before accessing the course content and assessment, you will also be required to complete a compulsory pre-enrolment assessment within your student portal.

Note USI Requirement
All students are required to provide NREL with a Unique Student Identifier (USI) before access to the course is granted.

Course Structure
You have up to 12 months to complete the course. As it is an online and completely self-paced course, you can work through the content and assessments within your own time.
The course provides access to 13 units of competency from the CPP41419 training package and consists of assessment tasks, questions and video role plays.
Additionally, you will receive the Sales Professional Fundamentals Course to enhance your practical industry knowledge.
Upon Completion
Once you have completed and submitted all of your course assessments, they will be marked by NREL’s assessing team.
Following this, when all assessments are deemed satisfactory, NREL will verify your account and you will receive your Statement of Attainment. You can then apply directly to the NSW Office of Fair Trading for your Class 2 Licence, subject to meeting their eligibility requirements.
